Additional Mouse Settings

Again, this page may vary according to your mouse.  Usually all computers have a way to set the mouse speed.  You can set this so it meets your individual taste.  Some mice also have settings for acceleration.  If the mouse seems very sluggish that setting will make it more responsive.  If, on one of the settings screens, you have a setting to make the mouse single click everything, be aware that it is a major annoyance if you use Windows Explorer or similar programs and you need to highlight things. Again, setup according to the way you like to use your computer.

This screen allows you to setup the wheel, if you have a mouse with a small wheel in between the mouse buttons.  The wheel is used to scroll through documents, web pages, etc. For instance, if you put the cursor on a web page you are viewing  and move the wheel, it will scroll back and forth through the page.  You can set how far it scrolls.  Most people don't use the wheel and some people love it.
